BIO
DR. MADSEN
Dr. Madsen’s journey began by earning a degree in Business Administration from Utah State University. His passion for patient-centered care led him to Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, an esteemed institution known for its highly selective dental program. During his time in Canada, Dr. Madsen not only excelled academically and clinically, earning multiple awards for his strong personal character, humanitarian efforts, and dedication to the ethical practice of dentistry, but also developed a deep appreciation for the country.
To further his expertise, Dr. Madsen completed a one-year general practice residency program at the University of Utah. This additional training equipped him with advanced skills in various areas of general dentistry, ensuring that he delivers the highest standard of care to his patients.
Dr. Madsen is dedicated to continuous learning and stays updated with the latest advancements in dental techniques and technology. He believes in creating a warm, welcoming, and calming environment where his patients’ needs are always prioritized. Whether you’re due for a routine check-up or require specialized treatment, Dr. Madsen is committed to providing compassionate care and achieving optimal oral health outcomes for every patient.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Madsen finds joy spending time with his wife, Jessica, and their three children. They share a love for travel and exploring new places. Dr. Madsen loves supporting his children in their various activities.

Amanda
Office Manager
Amanda has worked in the dental field since 1999. She has been an assistant and receptionist. She enjoys getting to help patients and share her knowledge. Outside of the office, she spends time with her family.
Diana
Receptionist
Diana has her dental assisting certification and has worked in the dental field for 11 years. She enjoys helping others and is bilingual. In her spare time, she loves to travel and create new memories with her husband and two beautiful kids.
Makaela
Hygienist
Makaela went to hygiene school at Carrington College and has her bachelor's in health studies from Boise State University. She is a licensed esthetician and likes to spend her free time with her friends and family.
Brandie
Hygienist
Brandie has been a hygienist here in the valley for 16 years. What she loves about her job is getting to know her patients on a personal level. Brandie is married and has three beautiful children. In her free time, she enjoys anything to do with warmth and sunshine, which includes baseball, camping, and traveling anywhere.
Kris
Hygienist
Kris was born and raised in Nampa and is the daughter of a dentist. She has been married for over 40 years and has two handsom sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law, three grandkids, and a dog.She loves to help her patients improve their smile and dental health. In her free time, she enjoys painting, quilting, playing the piano, and spending time with family and friends.
Nora
Dental Assistant
Nora has been a dental assistant since 1999. She loves spending time baking and making memories with her family.
Misa
Dental Assistant
Misa is new to Idaho and loves supporting her teammates at Gem State Smiles. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the local roads on her Honda Grom.
Liz
Dental Assistant
Liz received her CDS with the Dental Assisting National Board in 2019. When she is not in the clinic, you’ll find her with her family making memories or hiding from them to snuggle up with a good book.
